Job description

Our client is currently looking for a Laboratory Specialist – Point of Care to join their team based in South West Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the largest employers in the medtech industry.

The role

Within this role you will have the opportunity to work with unique, market leading equipment, ensuring that all products are maintained, follow approved procedures, and are calibrated to GMP standards. You will build an understanding of what equipment can be fixed in-house and what needs external support and oversee laboratory testing as per account plans. 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Maintaining detailed laboratory records 

  • Leading investigations into atypical results and deviations from quality procedures 

  • Performing cartridge testing for all finished products 

  • Recording deviations from the normal practice 

  • Executing laboratory testing and troubleshooting, including maintenance 

  • Performing Trending on the data and look for patterns and potential issues  

 

The requirements

You’ll have at least 3 years laboratory experience, as well as… 

  • Degree educated in a science related subject 

  • Experience in various chromatographic data systems, including HPLC, integration and troubleshooting  

  • Able to manage time effectively and possess a desire to succeed 

  • Has a flexible approach and ability to adapt according to workload  

  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work to own initiative  

  • Strong time management skills  

  • Inclusive approach and an effective team player  

  • Curious and keen to learn and try new things  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  

This is a permanent full-time position with working hours of 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday, with paid overtime.
