I am working alongside a world-renowned medical imaging company that is looking to hire a Level 1 Engineer – Medical Informatics to join their close-knit and established engineering team. 

The role 
Home-based, with national travel to customer sites and the Head Office. With the successful candidate ideally situated near Bedford.  
Up to £25,000 salary with 10% bonus, package is market-leading including private medical and a company car allowance.

They will support you with an excellent training and development programme, enabling you to become a successful medical first-line support engineer in no time. 
 
In this role, you will be providing remote and front-line support for their Medical Informatics portfolio of products, including PACS (Picture Archiving Solutions) and RIS (Radiography Information Systems). This will involve being the first point of contact for customer incoming incidents, where you will be expected to provide technical support to the customer over the telephone. You will be instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction always prevails. 

 
The requirements 

You will have a strong interest in working in the medical engineering industry, alongside the following: 

• Educated to A Level or BTEC level, ideally in an IT discipline 

• Able to identify and manage customer anxiety, especially in remote scenarios 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Adaptable and flexible who is motivated to learn new tasks and processes 

• A logical and creative thinker 

• Proficient understanding and competence with IT office tools  

• Experience working with the latest versions of Microsoft Windows and/or Server  

• Knowledge of VMware 

• Capable of building strong relationships with customers and colleagues
