Do you possess a track record of software sales success in a leadership role? Our client is looking for a sales expert to join their team in Texas or Colorado as a Key/Strategic Account Manager. 

The company 

With over 100 years of experience, this manufacturing and technology company is at the forefront of the Industrial IoT revolution. Their software solutions have propelled productivity across the aerospace, building technologies, PMT and SPS sectors. Having garnered a global reputation for streamlining performance whilst ensuring safety and security, their products and services can be found on virtually every commercial, defence and space aircraft.

The role 

In this role, you will focus on driving our client’s key account engagement strategy with the aim of accelerating revenue growth across North America. You’ll bring your networking skills to develop strategic relationships with customers and position our client’s services as effective solutions to their business requirements, transforming potential leads into sales opportunities. 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Analysing the market to identify new opportunities 

  • Liaising with customers at all levels, including C-suite 

  • Hitting and exceeding sales objectives 

  • Ensuring rapid responses to sales requests 

  • Resolving customer queries 

  • Carrying out competitive intelligence on your sector 

  • Working closely with other departments to ensure an excellent customer experience is delivered 

  • Guiding and motivating a team of talented sales individuals 


The requirements 

You’ll have 5+ years of experience in solution sales and/or B2B sales leadership within Industrial Products or Software Solutions in Process or Asset Management domains, as well as: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or another relevant discipline 

  • Postgraduate Business Qualification is desirable 

  • Track record of selling to industrial plant management, directors, VPs and to C-suite 

  • Demonstrable success in selling complex software solutions 

  • Excellent commercial experience including influencing and negotiating 

  • Organised and able to confidently undertake multiple projects 

  • Strong team-working skills with the ability to motivate and inspire  

  • Excellent communication, articulation, and presentation skills 

  • Highly self-motivated and results driven 

  • Flexible and willing to travel up to 60%
