Job description | Our client is currently looking for a Key Account Manager to join their team across the UK East. This is an excellent opportunity to influence the treatment of diseases in the ophthalmology space as part of a truly market-leading company. The company Our client is a leading provider of innovative products in the eye care space. Providing the very best in patient care across Europe, they have a wide range of products and treatments ranging from dry eye to glaucoma to retinal diseases. Their mission is to offer high-quality products which in turn promote eye health across Europe. By partnering with physicians, medical centres, and hospitals across the ophthalmology space our client can provide both knowledge and products to give patients the very best in eye care. The role As Account Manager, you’ll drive sales for a product portfolio of ocular health and ophthalmic pharmaceutical products by managing and developing relationships in the secondary care market, both with existing and new accounts. The products you’ll be working with a focus on the treatment of dry eye and glaucoma, including eye patches, gels, and ointments, as well as diagnostic devices. Responsibilities include: - Providing key account management to existing clients
- Developing new business and seeking business growth opportunities
- Supporting the sales of the product portfolio in the North East region
- Meeting with key accounts
- Developing and nurturing relationships with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
- Gaining hospital formularies
- Increasing market share of the product portfolio
- Providing clinical support of the product portfolio
- Providing product training and support
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets
The requirements You will have a proven track record of selling pharmaceutical products into secondary care environments, as well as… - Strong track record in sales
- Experience selling to CCGs and dispensing opticians
- Knowledge of ophthalmic/eye health products
- Familiarity with secondary care environments
- Experience with both repeat sales and new business
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Able to work autonomously
- Confident driving sales
- Experience taking new products to market beneficial
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good networking and relationship building skills
