FMC Smart Industry are supporting an innovative developer of design software and management solutions which help companies from all sectors improve the efficiency of labelling. With the support of their ground-breaking solutions, companies can digitally transform their labelling processes including design, printing, and management. With the goal of creating a leaner and efficient operation, companies utilising their solutions can respond quicker to changing market conditions whilst delivering products to market faster and more effectively. 

The role

As a Key Account Manager for the UK you will help to grow revenues across a designated region with the aspiration of consistently managing customer experiences so that they receive the most ROI. You will deliver innovative sales strategies which satisfy corporate objectives whilst recognising and accommodating for unique consumer buying habits. You will help to improve the buyer experience, the capture of new business and an increase in direct sales by being a strong relationship builder, clear communicator and highly proactive across a variety of markets. You will appreciate the difference between direct sales and channel sales and recognise when to use these routes to market.

You will tap into a wealth of different accounts and opportunities to increase their market presence in this region. Their head office will provide leading business support in marketing and technical advice to help you during sales processes. Whilst all industries matter; automotive, chemicals and life sciences are a focal point and they have a strong track record in these sectors.

The requirements

You will ideally possess a degree, or higher, in Business, Marketing or Engineering in addition to:

  • 5+ years' experience in sales, account management or business development ideally in software or technology sales in the UK and Europe
  • You must be proactive, passionate, motivated and a fantastic relationship builder to solve unique buying preferences whilst meeting you monthly and annual targets
  • You must be a self-starter and ready to roll up your sleeves. You will have the knowledge and experience of creating and executing effective and proven sales strategies
  • Ideally have the analytical and commercial skills/awareness to appreciate market trends and to capitalise on opportunities which present themselves
  • You must be flexible to travel regularly and when required
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ideally, you will also be bilingual but this is not essential (for the UK position)
