Are you skilled in growing revenue in large accounts and looking for a new career challenge? Our client is currently looking for a sales expert to join their team in North America as a Key Account Manager.

The role 

As a Key Account Manager, you’ll join a highly collaborative, team-orientated environment with a focus of accelerating revenue growth across North America by hitting and exceeding sales quota for a set of existing energy accounts. This role requires a natural communicator who can adopt a consultancy approach –  you will deliver market leading solutions to customers at all levels, including C-suite, to position our client’s services as effective solutions to their business requirements. 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Implementing and refining sales strategy 

  • Analysing the market to identify new opportunities 

  • Ensuring rapid responses to sales requests 

  • Providing accurate sales forecasts and reports 

  • Resolving customer queries 

  • Carrying out competitive intelligence on your sector 

  • Working closely with other departments to ensure an excellent customer experience is delivered 

The requirements 

A track record (5+ years) of account management experience partnered with a background in the industrial electronics/networking space is a must for this role. Other requirements include: 

  • Degree educated in a technical or business discipline (desirable) 

  • Track record of selling to industrial plant management, directors, VPs and to C-suite 

  • Demonstrable success in selling complex IIoT solutions 

  • Excellent commercial experience including influencing and negotiating 

  • Organised and able to confidently undertake multiple projects 

  • Strong team-working skills with the ability to motivate and inspire  

  • Excellent communication, articulation and presentation skills 

  • Highly self-motivated and results driven 

  • Flexible and willing to travel
