Do you have extensive MES sales experience selling software into the Manufacturing industries? Do you want to work for a company who deliver results in digital transformation? Our client is currently looking for a Key Account Developer to join their team based in the USA and be responsible for customer growth in this territory. 

The company 

Our client utilises the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and predictive analytic tools to help clients create a competitive advantage through digital transformation. They connect and analyse complex manufacturing processes, systems, and machines to identify opportunities to increase efficiencies, eliminate waste and reduce costs.  

The role 

As Key Account Developer your core focus will be on expanding our client’s portfolio in the USA. You will identify and pursue new business sales into the manufacturing industry and meet with prospective customers to ensure the company’s sales goals are achieved.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Identifying and pursuing new business sales opportunities 

  • Working with the sales team to grow revenue within Industry 4.0  

  • Establishing and maintaining business relationships with internal and external stakeholders  

  • Supporting the sales process from business development through to negotiation 

  • Deliver on projects on time and to budget  

  • Ensuring rapid responses to sales requests 

  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of the client’s customers  

  • Keeping all sales forecasting data up to date in CRM 


The requirements 

You’ll have at least 5 years’ sales experience, selling Industry 4.0 and IoTT as well as:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline  

  • Chemical industry experience would be desirable  

  • Proven track record in IoT/MES software sales  

  • Experience working at all levels of manufacturing enterprise 

  • Demonstrable ability to sell at senior management and executive levels  

  • Proven ability of driving the sales process within large accounts  

  • Catalogue of contacts within the industry  

  • Able to clearly communicate sales processes and strategies 

  • Excellent relationship building skills with all levels of stakeholder 

  • Positive, motivated, and driven by finding new business opportunities  

  • Excellent customer service skills   

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) 

  • Able to travel across the territory (when permitted)
