FMC Smart Industry are working in partnership with a world leading company who specialise in safety and risk management software and services. With offices in almost every corner of the world, their team has been assembled with engineers and specialists in their field which allows for a bespoke and tailor-made approach for all their clients.

They are now considered the preferred supplier and leading name in the industry, with an emphasis on sectors including oil and gas, pharma, food & bev, automotive, chemicals and green energy. They have played a supportive and critical role in major accidents around the world with engineers considering their expertise and software crucial in the reduction of fire and explosions from flammable substances.

The role

They are continuing to experience growth and have recently restructured their sales teams to meet new demands, with this Internal Sales Executive role being a crucial position in supporting the field sales team with leads, customer profiling and marketing. This is a brand-new position to help build the internal sales function. Whilst there is a small aspect of cold calling, this role requires an intelligent and creative professional to understand the market and react proactively so to secure potential new business opportunities.

Whilst a sales role, this is very much a collaborative and creative position which would enable you to work with the entire business.

They are seeking someone with prior experience who is extremely driven, investigative, and curious by nature. Someone who ideally can think outside of the box, work in complex markets alongside niche software and services. The requirements

You will have a good academic background with some formal education or training in sales and marketing or a related subjective in addition to:

  • Ideally knowledge of industrial markets such as oil and gas, pharma, food & bev, automotive, chemicals or green energy
  • You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills enabling you to work constructively with clients and colleagues
  • A demonstrable background in sales preferably in software and services
  • You will be proficient in MS Office and CRM software
  • Able to prospect and profile new clients through lead generation campaigns
  • An appreciation for generation effective touchpoints with prospects and clients via social channels, marketing software and directly
