Are you highly motivated and target-driven? Our client is currently looking for an ambitious Inside Sales Representative to join their sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their sales career or use their highly tuned organisational and customer-facing skills to move into an enterprise software sales environment. 

The company 

FMC Smart Industry has partnered with a market leader to develop unique diagnostics and security software solutions that enable partners and customers to safely dispose of and repurpose old hardware at an enterprise level. You will be immersed in an exceptional work environment, with direct connections and collaboration with the other executives in the business.   

The role 

As an Inside Sales Representative, you’ll play a crucial role in managing, qualifying, and reporting inbound sales leads within your sector. You’ll also be responsible for direct sales; you’ll generate a pipeline of prospects by identifying opportunities in the market and conveying our client’s value proposition to target customers. You will be supported by training that will broaden your sales skills and enhance your career opportunities. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Owning an assigned set of accounts and expanding a prospect database 

  • Opening new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound warm/cold calling and emails 

  • Building strong relationships with customers and prospects 

  • Developing a thorough understanding of customer requirements 

  • Delivering customer satisfaction by putting strategies and processes in place to meet customer needs 

  • Collaborating with Sales and Marketing to carry out competitive intelligence and develop market campaigns 

  • Actively partaking in events and customer forums, both online and in-person 


The requirements 

You’ll be an experienced sales individual, ideally within the Software and/or IT domain, as well as: 

  • Track record of hitting and exceeding quotas 

  • Experience selling into the IT Asset Disposition market is desirable 

  • Natural leader who is hungry to progress   

  • Direct sales experience, including cold calling 

  • Highly organised and able to confidently undertake multiple projects 

  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team 

  • Excellent interpersonal, listening and negotiation skills 

  • Able to credibly engage with customers in a virtual setting 

  • New business hunter with a drive to open new relationships 

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) 

  • Strong computer literacy skills (including CRM and Microsoft Suite) 

  • Keen to develop personally and professionally  

  • Flexible and willing to travel across the territory
