Are you a highly motivated and proactive engineer? Our client, a leading global powertrain consultancy, is seeking a HV System Engineer to join their team across the West Midlands and support in Power Electronics Design.

The role

As a HV System Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering customer projects according to vehicle electrifications, high voltage components, and electrified powertrain control development.   

Other responsibilities include: 

• Supporting the development, integration, and testing activities 

• Working for e-drive and other electrified systems 

• Carrying out modelling, simulation, and analysis of various electric powertrain components 

• Guiding customers on the most suitable technology and design for each application  

The requirements

You’ll have 2 years experience in e-drive system development, power inverters and electric motors, as well as… 

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Control Engineering or similar 

• Knowledge of hybrid components fundamentals 

• Able to understand customer requirements and follow product development processes  

• Able to carry out activities to international automotive standards  

• Experience in Simulink development 

• Confident in presenting to management and technical specialists 

• Excellent communication and presentation skills  

Preferable: 

• Experience in high voltage tests and component verification  

• Project Management experience 

• Experience in electronics requirements, design, integration, test, verification, or control
