The company 

FMC Smart Industry continue to support world leaders in software solutions for the energy and industrial market sectors. Our client is a leading software vendor providing Environmental Health & Safety and Risk Management solutions. They strive to achieve operational excellence with the goal of developing a safer, more sustainable, and productive world. 

The product can serve a diverse number of sectors, from oil, gas, and petrochemical through to discrete manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, government and many more. 

The role 

As HR Business Partner, you will work with the global HR team to provide a proactive, people centric service, supporting colleagues and managers across the region. You will support the business to deliver HR strategies for workforce planning, resourcing, performance management, development, and process improvement.  

Responsibilities include: 

 

  • Designing, implementing, and refining processes 

  • Implementing and administering company HR programs  

  • Coordinating activities including employment, colleague relations, diversity, records, and benefits 

  • Assisting annual performance management, salary planning and enrollment processes 

  • Managing the HR team within the Germany office 

  • Counselling colleagues concerning work-related problems  

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives 

  • Maintaining a quality and inclusive work environment   

  • Work in accordance with all legal and compliance requirements  

 

The requirements 

You’ll have at least 5 years of experience in German Human Resources including change and talent management expertise. Relevant industry experience or post-merger integration is a plus. 

  • Degree level educated in Human Resources Management or relevant discipline 

  • Good knowledge and understanding of national employment legislation are essential 

  • European work experience and dealing in a matrix-organisation is desired 

  • Comprehensive understanding of overall business strategies and implications of HR policies 

  • Significant experience of dealing with works council 

  • Demonstrated experience coaching business and functional leaders in HR matters 

  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) 

  • Proven track record in successfully building effective working relationships 

  • Strong organisational, interpersonal and negotiation skills  

  • Detail orientated and analytical 

  • Able to understand local issues and operate within a global framework 

  • Able to maintain confidential information and demonstrate discretion 

  • Able to travel across the territory (when permitted)
