Are you a commercially minded, self-motivated medical device salesperson? A well-respected ophthalmology company who are focused on advancing ophthalmic technologies is looking for Hospital Business Manager to be responsible for sales activities and manage a portfolio of surgical and diagnostic devices across the Midlands.

They are passionate about developing a range of high-quality, innovative optical technologies for the treatment of eye diseases and vision impairment. With a reputation for quality, they are known for providing outstanding products to the healthcare market. The role

As a Hospital Business Manager, you’ll be responsible for the sales activities associated with a diagnostic and surgical portfolio of ophthalmic technologies. You’ll be generating new leads, growing the business, and building relationships to promote the portfolio. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing all sales activities within your region

  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers and stakeholders

  • Developing KOLs and generating new leads and new business

  • Promoting the product portfolio across the region 

  • Preparing sales forecasts and maintaining a sales pipeline

  • Delivering product presentations and business proposals

  • Gathering market and competitor insight

  • Presenting technical information in clinical environments to offer clinical solutions

  • Demonstrating products and providing support 

  • Attending and representing the company at events and exhibitions

The requirements

You will have proven medical device and equipment sales experience, as well as…

  • Degree level educated in a relevant discipline 

  • Strong understanding of sales and procurement processes

  • Comfortable working with surgical products in a theatre environment  

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Track record of maximising sales and revenue 

  • Able to identify new business opportunities 

  • Strong commercial mindset

  • Detail orientated, organised, and analytical

  • Open-minded, strong interpersonal skills and a ‘can do’ attitude

  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as being self-motivated to work independently

  • Motivated by taking the company on a journey
