Our client, a well-respected ophthalmology company who are focused on advancing ophthalmic technologies, is seeking a Hospital Business Manager to support their latest phase of growth across London and the South East.

They are passionate about developing a range of high-quality, innovative optical technologies for the treatment of eye diseases and vision impairment. With a reputation for quality, they are known for providing outstanding products to the healthcare market.

The role

As a Hospital Business Manager, you’ll own the sales activities for your region and focus on promoting a diagnostic and surgical portfolio of ophthalmic technologies. You’ll be generating new leads, growing the business, and building relationships with key clinical stakeholders to support product sales. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing KOLs and generating new leads and new business

  • Preparing sales forecasts and maintaining a sales pipeline

  • Delivering product presentations and business proposals

  • Gathering market and competitor insight

  • Presenting technical information in clinical environments to offer clinical solutions

  • Demonstrating products and providing support

  • Attending and representing the company at events and exhibitions

 
The requirements

You will have proven success in a medical device and equipment sales role, as well as…

  • Degree educated in a relevant discipline 

  • Experience of working with surgical products in a theatre environment 

  • Capable of managing capital and consumable sales pipelines  

  • High level of business intelligence and commercial acumen 

  • Able to present data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Highly organised and able to prioritise effectively 

  • Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team 

  • Positive, ambitious and driven 

  • Willing to travel and make overnight stays
