Surgical robotics is one of the fastest growing sectors of the medical devices space and one of the most exciting companies in the space is looking for a Head of Customer Fulfilment. In this role you'll design and implement strategies to ensure hospitals have the equipment they need for their surgical robotics systems.

Our client is a disruptive player in the rapidly growing surgical robotics space. They produce state-of-the art robotics for the minimally invasive surgery space. Their robot will improve patient care and have a huge impact on the healthcare market, from surgeons to patients alike.

The role

As Head of Customer Fulfilment, you’ll be focused on designing and implementing the strategy for the Customer Fulfilment department. You’ll be the person responsible for ensuring hospitals and other clinical environments get the robotics equipment and parts they need. This role will have a core focus on ensuring both the capital equipment and associated consumables, spare parts, and repairs are available through the development of these channels.

Ensuring the best in customer experience, you’ll work on developing a technical network combining supply chain and procurement to make sure customers have what they need exactly when they need it!

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and delivering strategy to make sure hospitals have the equipment requires
  • Supporting field service teams with supply of parts/equipment
  • Delivering on time, on quality goods to customers through logistic, supply and warehousing
  • Supporting the flow of systems in the logistics network
  • Developing strategies to improve the efficiency of logistics and order processing
  • Working with supply chain and manufacturing to ensure supply of goods for customers
  • Managing relationships and liaising with distributors and other third parties
  • Managing the global warehouse network
  • Building a model for fulfilment that is scalable as the business grows
  • Establishing a model that allows the movement of products and parts to be efficient
  • Building and managing a team
  • Reporting to board members



The requirements

You’ll have at least 10 years’ experience in the movement of medical or aligned capital equipment around the world and you’ll be experienced in international logistics with a thorough understanding of freight and supply chain. Our client is looking for someone who is data driven and a strategic decision maker to lead the strategy for customer fulfilment.


  • Knowledgeable about international freight, warehousing and logistics
  • Degree educated in Business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Ideally experienced with medical devices
  • Strong understanding of why quality, on time delivery is integral to customer experience
  • A strategic thinker who is driven by data
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Track record of leading projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • CIPS qualified
  • Understanding of the legal requirements associated with moving products internationally
  • Ability to build and manage a team
  • Ability to mitigate any potential supply/inventory issues
  • Passionate about customer experience
  • Focused on improving efficiencies
  • An appreciation of quality and regulation of medical devices would be beneficial
