Do you have an excellent technical background in the EV industry? Do you want to influence the future of powertrains? Our client is currently looking to expand its territory in the US and for someone to join their team as Head of Business Development to support this process of growth.  

 

The company 

Our client is on a mission to create the future of powertrains. They work on the full lifecycle from strategic planning to testing of powertrain and electrification technologies. They’ve got a rich history in the automotive space, working with major vehicle OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to optimise their products. 

Working towards a more sustainable future, they are operating in the electrification space to advance the development of new, more sustainable technologies. 

The role 

As Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for growth within the company’s product portfolio.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Maintaining and growing business in the territory  

  • Growing the customer base and market presence in line with targets 

  • Monitoring progress of regional goals and providing feedback 

  • Ensuring company targets are met  

  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders 

  • Work in accordance to processes and safety requirements 

  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies  

 

The requirements 

You’ll have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Electric Vehicle industry. Other requirements include: 

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or a relevant subject 

  • Technical Aero Mechanical or Electrical engineering background 

  • Exposure to consulting is desirable 

  • Understanding of taking a new solution to the market 

  • Prior knowledge of breaking a product into a new territory   

  • Evidence of outstanding local relationships in the EV industry  

  • Excellent technical background  

  • Outstanding knowledge of the industry 

  • Passionate about EV 

  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) 

  • Strong leadership skills 

  • Able to define strategy and solutions autonomously  

  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
