Job description

Our client has a rich heritage in the automotive landscape with decades of experience at the forefront of motorsport. They are currently seeking a Head of Battery Software Sales to join their team. 

The role

As a Head of Battery Software Sales, you’ll develop a world-class strategy that will create pipelines of new opportunities for our client’s innovative Battery Management software solutions across the globe. You’ll bring your experience to build and lead a global commercial team to expand our client’s brand presence across a range of markets through the development of credible customer relationships and extensive industry analysis. By aligning the potential of battery-powered systems with the technical and commercial requirements of customers, you’ll play a crucial role in driving the automotive and electronic sectors towards a more sustainable future. 

Other responsibilities include:

  • Analysing the market to identify growth opportunities and develop industry-specific marketing strategies 

  • Building strong customer relationships at all levels, including C-Suite 

  • Acting as the ‘voice of customer’ and understanding their requirements 

  • Hitting and exceeding revenue targets and providing accurate sales forecasts

  • Liaising with technical stakeholders and engineers 

  • Supporting regional sales, proposal development and contract negotiation

  • Maintaining an expert level of competitive intelligence 

  • Representing our client at key industry events 


The requirements 

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable experience of interfacing with senior stakeholders across the battery, automotive, enterprise SaaS or energy market sectors. A strong track record in project management, including leading teams across multiple geographies, is crucial to this role. 

Other requirements include: 

  • Experience engaging with an international client base, spanning Asia, Europe and America 

  • Customer focused with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience of battery domain-specific businesses and/or technology, with a degree in a technical or business-related discipline, is desirable 

  • Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment 

  • Curious individual who embraces new technology and innovation

  • High level of computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office Suite) 

  • Fluent in English and another language (including Mandarin and German) is beneficial 

  • Results-orientated and driven 

  • Flexible and willing to travel
