Are you a natural leader seeking to bring your project management experience to a new role? Our client is seeking a Global Technical Specialist of Fuel Cell Stacks to join their team and driving growth, performance and best practices that will keep our client at the forefront of fuel cell technology.  

 

The company 

We are representing an industry-leading consultancy company, that specialises in the development of breakthrough engineering and electrical proposition systems. This division specialises in delivering niche powertrain products to many premium automotive customers to clients from multiple sectors. 

 

The role

As a Global Technical Specialist of Fuel Cell Stacks, you’ll play a primary role in shaping and evolving our client’s fuel cell stack strategy and product road maps, pulling together the company’s vision and setting it on a trajectory of high growth. You’ll provide technical mentoring to the delivery and engineering teams, ensuring quality technology propositions are delivered to customers that align with the technical pedigree of our client. This role will also utilise your customer-facing skills as you’ll provide a high level of engagement and willingness to drive solutions that will meet customer technical needs. 

Other responsibilities include:

  • Determining the structure of the global team 

  • Reporting on project objectives and communicating risks and issues

  • Contributing to regular meetings and team briefings 

  • Carrying out test and development activities for customer projects

  • Delivering customer projects on schedule and to cost and quality standards

  • Building a pipeline of opportunities than be transformed into projects 

  • Maintaining expert knowledge of industry trends to strengthen our client’s competitive position 

 

The requirements

The ideal candidate will have extensive (10+ years) experience of developing and testing high-voltage power electronics applications. A detailed understanding of global industry standards and trends, in order to develop and implement strategies to provide the latest technology solutions, is crucial to this role. Other requirements include: 

  • Degree educated in an engineering, scientific or technical discipline

  • Proven success of leading and managing a global electronics function 

  • Comfortable owning and delivering plans against fast-changing requirements

  • Capable of extracting key issues and determining required action

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) 

  • Able to drive continuous improvement and strive for innovation

  • Exceptional customer service skills with an aptitude for negotiation 

  • Meticulous, organised and able to manage multiple projects independently 

  • An analytical and strategic thinker develops and present balanced insight   

  • Flexible and willing to travel internationally
