This is a very exciting opportunity to join a highly successful and reputable team as a Glaucoma Area Sales Manager in the Southeast, UK. 

The company   

FMC Meditech are supporting a market leader in ocular health therapies. They offer an extensive product range covering prescriptions for Glaucoma, infection, and inflammation as well as a range of cutting-edge surgical pharmaceuticals.  

Our client continues to achieve year on year growth and has a superb track record in employee development and engagement.  

The role  

As Glaucoma Area Sales Manager, you will manage the glaucoma pharmaceutical business in the Southeast promoting, selling, and educating on our client’s product portfolio. You will build and maintain key customer relationships in both the NHS and private sector and establish the business as a key player within the dry eye market within the territory.  

Responsibilities include:  

  • Identifying sales opportunities, and maintain and grow the business across the territory 

  • Understanding customer needs and their environment  

  • Creating detailed individual customer plans which lead to win-win solutions 

  • Maintaining complete, accurate and up to date customer records 

  • Developing a business plan for the area and continually self-assess its progress 

  • Maintaining a high standard of product knowledge and the NHS environment 

  • Allocating resource, including time, financial and people  

  • Sharing ideas, solutions, and practices as well as challenges with team members  

 

The requirements 

You’ll have at least 5 years’ secondary Key Account Management experience, as well as…  

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent and ABPI qualified  

  • Proven record of achieving sales success  

  • Able to take on an account management approach  

  • Flexible ‘can do’ attitude needed to thrive in a fast-growing company 

  • Able to reach the highest standards in training and compliance 

  • Hepatitis B Vaccination – copy of immunisation card is required 

  • Awareness of NHS policies and structure relevant to job role 

  • Strong analysis and budget management skills  

  • Able to work independently and take ownership and accountability of results  

  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and networking skills 

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) 

  • Strong computer literacy skills  

 

This role is field based so extensive travel in the UK can be expected. Therefore, a current UK driving licence is essential.
