The role 

As Functional Safety Manager you’ll be focused on managing the speed and effectiveness of new product introduction and ensuring their compliance with quality regulations. You will work within all areas of design, verification, and implementation for safety critical applications within ADAS. You’ll work closely with the customer and design teams to ensure requirements are met.  

Responsibilities include: 

• Support the introduction of new products to market 

• Driving innovation and introducing new ideas 

• Investigating and resolving safety issues 

• Ensuring continuous process improvement 

• Build and negotiate relationships with both internal and external stakeholders 

• Acting as representative for product and process changes and validation protocols 

• Undertaking internal and external audits 

• Directly addressing any safety issues 

• Working in accordance to processes and safety requirements 

The requirements 

You will have at least 10 years of functional safety experience working to ISO 26262, as well as… 

• Degree level educated in a relevant discipline 

• Able to investigate complex issues and solve problems 

• Industry Experience of HARA, DFMEA, FTA for embedded software  

• Proven experience of ASPICE 

• Strong analytical skills 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Good people management skills and a track record of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team 

• Able to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as being self-motivated to work independently  

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail 

• Ambitious, with a passion for continuous improvement
