We’re currently recruiting for a globally renowned surgical devices company who specialise in designing and developing market leading medical devices. They are currently looking for Field Service Engineer to undertake repair and maintenance on their electro-medical equipment in Southern Ireland.

The role

As a Field Service Engineer you’ll undertake planned maintenance and repair of electro-medical equipment. You’ll largely be working on imaging, endoscopy and surgical capital equipment.

Our client is open to a variety of backgrounds for this role. If you’re an experienced engineer in the medical devices field, have worked as a Field Service Engineer outside of the industry, or you’re an engineering graduate who is interested in a FSE role this could be a fantastic next step in your career or into the medical devices space.


Responsibilities include:

  • Responding to customer repair call outs in a timely manner
  • Planned and preventative maintenance on electro-medical equipment
  • Install electro-medical equipment for customers
  • Provide clinical engineering support to hospitals
  • Accurately report works using the client’s service management system


The requirements

You will be able to travel across Southern Ireland, as well as…

  • Diploma or Apprenticeship in electro/medical/electrical engineering
  • Technical knowledge and experience
  • Experience working in a technical field service team
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to present information in a structured way
  • Comfortable with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
  • Comfortable working as part of a team
  • Personable and enthusiastic personality
  • Independent and autonomous
  • Willingness to learn more about the medical technology space
