Do you want to work for a globally renowned test equipment manufacturer? Do you have experience working in an instrumentation service environment? Our client is a leading manufacturer of testing solutions across a huge range of industries and is currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to be responsible for delivering on-site support, from installations to maintenance.

Established in 1946, our client is a global test equipment manufacturer who provide solutions across a wide spectrum of industries, from electronics to aerospace. They produce specialist testing machines to test the properties of materials and components in different environments and their mission is to provide their customers with expert support and world-class service.

Customer service is at the very heart of their business, and as a Field Service Engineer you’ll be a part of this by providing onsite support to customers.
 

The role

In the role of Field Service Engineer you’ll focus on customer satisfaction by delivering services such as installation, breakdown repair, maintenance and calibration on a wide range of systems.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering onsite support for the client’s product range
  • Keeping call administration up to date and in line with company processes
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and seek to improve this
  • Contribute to reducing costs and increasing quality
  • Maintain service spares stock

 

 

The requirements

You will have a qualification in electronic or mechanical engineering, as well as:

  • Full, clean UK driving license (travel required)
  • Previous field-based experience desirable but not essential
  • Pro-active and a self-starter
  • Strong communication skills with various audiences (both written and verbal)
  • Well organized and able tom work efficiently on a variety of tasks
  • Good prioritization skills – able to evaluate tasks and their priority
  • Customer service focused – able to respond to customer needs at a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Experience working as part of a team
