The company

Our client is a disruptive player in the rapidly growing surgical robotics space. They produce state-of-the-art robotics for the minimally invasive surgery space that is set to change the face of surgery forever. Their robot will improve patient care and greatly impact the healthcare market, from surgeons to patients alike.


The role

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for installing and performing service and maintenance on our client’s state-of-the-art robotics system. You’ll work across Poland and help surgical teams in clinical environments get the very best out of their robot by keeping them in top condition. If you have experience in a customer-facing role and know how to troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems, this could be your role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of the surgical robotic system

  • Carrying out preventative maintenance

  • Documenting service works

  • Owning customer issues from identification through to resolution

  • Providing technical support to clinical teams and internal teams

  • Maximising system uptime for best clinical value

  • Developing the technical support and service processes 

  • Maintaining customer service logs and internal records 

  • Managing spare parts inventory

  • Providing feedback to other internal teams about customer/service issues

  • Maintaining great customer satisfaction levels


The requirements

You will have a background in field service engineering and will be able to travel across Poland, as well as…

  • A degree in Biomedical Engineering or related subject 

  • 3-5 years of Field Service Experience within a regulated medical environment 

  • Experience in electronics and ability to perform software updates 

  • Experience in operating theatres and knowledge of protocol is desirable

  • Experience servicing capital equipment (such as radiotherapy, imaging, robotics) desirable 

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to self-schedule tasks

  • Proactive and focused on customer satisfaction 

  • A can-do hands-on attitude 

  • Able to manage high-pressure situations and maintain strong customer relationships  

  • Fluent in Polish and have excellent English and German language skills (both written and verbal)

  • Proficient computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office)

  • Experience in using a CRM Field Service Software  

  • Full driving license and able to travel at short notice
