The role 

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for installing and performing service and maintenance on our client’s state-of-the-art robotics system. You’ll work across Lithuania and will help surgical teams in clinical environments to get the very best out of their robot by keeping them in top condition. If you’ve got experience in a customer-facing role and know how to troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems, this could be the role for you. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of the surgical robotic system 

• Carrying out preventative maintenance 

• Documenting service works 

• Owning customer issues from identification through to resolution 

• Providing technical support to clinical teams and internal teams 

• Maximising system uptime for best clinical value 

• Developing the technical support and service processes

• Maintaining customer service logs and internal records

• Managing spare parts inventory 

• Providing feedback to other internal teams about customer/service issues 

• Maintaining great customer satisfaction levels 

The requirements 

You will have a background in field service engineering and will be able to travel across Lithuania, as well as… 

• A degree in Biomedical Engineering 

• Experience in regulated medical environments 

• Experience in electronics and ability to perform software updates 

• Experience in operating theatres and knowledge of protocol is desirable 

• Experience servicing capital equipment (such as radiotherapy, imaging, robotics) desirable 

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to self-schedule tasks 

• Proactive and focused on customer satisfaction 

• Excellent English and Lithuanian communication skills (both written and verbal) 

• Proficient computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office) 

• Full driving license and able to travel at short notice
