Are you an experienced EHS professional? Our client is looking for an EHS Manager to join their team based in Sheffield. This is an excellent position for a leader with ambition, vision, and proven expertise.

The company

Our client are pioneers in batteries. Following a recent £100m acquisition they are playing a key part in the solution for cheaper and cleaner energy provision. With this as a catalyst, the business is about to enter a period of considerable growth  

The role

As an EHS Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and running all our client’s current and future development facilities. You will apply and report your EHS knowledge through all levels of the organisation, including global staff.  

Other responsibilities include:

  • Defining minimum acceptable EHS standards and procedures 

  • Establishing and maintaining an appropriate EHS management system 

  • Meeting all regulatory requirements and managing EHS compliance across multiple sites 

  • Fostering positive relationships with stakeholders 

  • Maintaining the company’s licence to operate 

  • Ensuring all submissions are completed on time and in full  

 

The requirements

You’ll have 5+ years of demonstrable chemical site management experience in a lower or upper COMAH-regulated establishment. Other requirements include: 

  • NEBOSH / IOSH qualified 

  • Evidence of fostering and maintaining relationships with the Health & Safety Executive and Environment Agency  

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing an EHS management system 

  • Excellent communication skills and a perceived cultural fit 

  • An appreciation and understanding of system management standards 

  • Previous experience delivering EHS training and coaching is desirable 

  • Be a proactive self-starter who relishes a challenge 

  • Able to multitask and prioritise and manage time efficiently 

  • Have excellent attention to detail  

  • Be committed to working in a safe and thorough matter  

  • Able to build long-term, strategic relationships
