One of the UK’s most exciting, award-winning companies is looking for an Education Technical Support Specialist to join their team in Cambridge.  

The company 

Our client is a disruptive player in the rapidly growing surgical robotics space. They produce state-of-the art robotics for the minimally invasive surgery space that are set to change the face of surgery forever. They have a close-knit and family-orientated culture in the business so they’re passionate about finding people that will fit in with their mission to make the next generation of surgical robot. Their robot will improve patient care and have a huge impact on the healthcare market, from surgeons to patients alike.  

The role 

As Education Technical Support Specialist, you will join our clients’ Education Technology Team and contribute to the monitoring and maintenance of educational technologies used within the company. You will provide technical support and assistance including diagnosis and issues that may arise with educational technologies. There is an additional opportunity to help develop and improve these technologies and systems, such as Virtual Reality and Simulators (3D systems). 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Monitoring, testing, and maintaining educational technologies  

  • Fixing user issues from identification through to resolution  

  • Troubleshooting and building a response plan for end-users 

  • Helping end-users with queries 

  • Utilising technical and diagnostic skills 

  • Teaching teammates how to use the educational technologies 

  • Creating guidelines and documentation when required 

The requirements 

You’ll have a passion and a knack for technology (basic programming skills), as well as… 

  • Degree educated in an aligned subject  

  • Strong technical understanding and a logical approach to resolving issues 

  • Experience with ticketing systems and coding  

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment 

  • Able to manage pressure while keeping your focus on tasks 

  • Keen to help and have a customer-focused mindset 

  • Strong work ethic and proven desire to deliver high quality results 

  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team  

  • High attention to detail 

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) 

  • Ideally located in Cambridgeshire or commutable
