Do you have strong sales experience in the medical and/or surgical device sector? Our client is currently looking for a Distribution Manager for the EU and Africa regions to achieve growth across the portfolio through building and implementing strategic business plans.

Our client is a well-respected, unique medical device organisation who specialise in bariatric and GI surgical solutions across the UK and Europe. Focused on improving patient outcomes through their leading portfolio of minimally invasive surgical devices, they are dedicated to revolutionising patient care. With a product portfolio focused on therapies for a range of gastrointestinal conditions, their products are available in countries throughout the world with an impressive reputation for quality. 

The role 

As Distribution Manager, you will ensure sales targets are met and resources are used efficiently through account segmentation, prioritisation and resource allocation. You will be the primary relationship manager for Distributors within the Europe/Africa region and will ensure all contracts are in line with the company’s compliance program. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Reviewing goals for specific territories  

  • Reviewing the current sales and distribution strategy for Europe and Africa 

  • Implementing several new initiatives across a number of markets 

  • Preparing and delivering presentations to internal stakeholders 

  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels 

  • Supporting the business to achieve annual objectives  

  • Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures  


The requirements 

You will have strong sales experience in the medical and/or surgical device sector. Other requirements include…  

  • Degree level educated in a relevant discipline 

  • Experience in the field of Gastroenterology, Bariatrics and/or Endoscopy is desirable 

  • Strong clinical, market access and reimbursement knowledge  

  • Proven track record of effectively managing commercial business relationships or key accounts 

  • Good commercial acumen  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Confident, determined, and resilient 

  • High degree of self-motivation, personal organisation, and effective time management skills 

  • Fluent in a second European language, Italian, German, French, or Spanish is desirable   

  • Flexible and willing to travel frequently across Europe and Africa (up to 70% of working time)
