Our client is looking for a highly motivated Director Sales – Renewables (remote in the United Kingdom) to join our expanding company of exceptional team players who enjoy working together to deliver a compelling software solution to impact the operations and profitability of our global, enterprise client base. 


The company 

Our client delivers a self-service SaaS solution currently blazing the IoT space, which is the fastest growing market globally. They help to solve some of the world’s greatest problems around energy, water, and other natural resources.  

The role 

As Director Sales – Renewables, you will be responsible for expanding their sales pipeline by selling their solution to prospects within existing Renewable Energy segments of Wind and Solar operators.  

You will work closely with Sales Engineering, Client Engineering and Management to create, qualify, and close new revenue.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Developing a thorough understanding of our clients product portfolio 

  • Leading all relevant sales opportunities, new and existing  

  • Meeting quarterly and annual sales quotes through sales execution 

  • Building authentic relationships based on value for the customers 

  • Leveraging appropriate internal resource to close deals 

  • Working on sales priorities, targets, strategies, and pipeline management 

  • Managing, tracking and reporting daily on all sales activity in the CRM system 


The requirements 

You’ll have 5-10+ years sales experience selling to Wind & Solar operators in the Renewable Energy industry, as well as…  

  • Degree educated in engineering or a relevant field 

  • Successfully sold SaaS or Enterprise software to energy companies  

  • Demonstrable new business sales capability including building, executing, and achieving against a sales plan  

  • Proven track record of top quote achievement over a multi-year timeframe  

  • Knowledge of analytics, fleet monitoring solutions, and SCADA systems 

  • Strong negotiating skills, ambitious, and self-driven 

  • Able to demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration skills 

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbally)  

  • Strong time management skills, able to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines 

  • Prior experience using HubSpot or a comparable CRM system
