The role

In the Director – Particle Therapy role you’ll be responsible for a specific, innovative portfolio of particle therapy technologies and software. You’ll be defining and managing strategies for the portfolio based on customer, competitor and market insights. Working with R&D, you’ll be managing the new feature developments and leveraging business opportunities for the portfolio.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Growing the revenue of the product portfolio
  • Acting as a representative of the particle therapy portfolio
  • Working with the marketing team to market the particle therapy technologies
  • Managing product lifecycle decisions
  • Delivering business cases for individual products
  • Driving customer satisfaction for particle therapy solutions
  • Managing new feature developments for the portfolio
  • Leveraging business opportunities
  • Pushing product innovation
  • Defining and managing product strategy
  • Analysing the market, competitors, and customers to facilitate strategies
  • Translate market requirements into solution configurations
  • Leading on product and service improvements based on feedback

 

The requirements

You will have a demonstrable track record as a product/commercial manager in the medical devices space, as well as…

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific/medical subject (Master’s/MBA preferred)
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in radiation oncology
  • Product knowledge of Particle Therapy and understanding of radiotherapy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management experience
  • Competitive analysis capabilities
  • Knowledge of the Particle Therapy market and customers
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to build capability in teams
  • Experience of, and desire to, work across multiple continents
