Job description

Do you have over 10 years' experience of true senior sales leadership? Are you able to lead and execute successful revenue generation strategies? A publicly listed, pioneering software company with impressive growth plans are currently looking for a Chief Revenue Officer to join their team in the UK and drive all revenue activity across the business.

One of the fastest growing software vendors in the UK, our client is a market leading software provider that enables their customers to realise operational excellence goals and compliance whilst reducing costs and risk. Publicly listed and with around 600 employees globally, they have impressive growth plans with the aim to double in size in the next five years, as well as aiming to be a FTSE 250 company.

Their exciting rise has been fuelled by several software innovations and through strategic acquisitions to ensure their customers have access to the industry’s leading software solutions. Their cloud-based, future proof software makes them a truly global pioneer and they have authored some of most powerful and successful solutions globally within the traditional industrial markets.


The role

As they are one of the fastest growing organisations in their field, they are seeking an experienced Chief Revenue Officer to join their talented team and to drive all revenue activity across the business including Sales, Customer Delivery and Customer Success. The business is already hugely profitable and growing rapidly and are committed to further strategic acquisitions so this is a vital management position to help steer the business to even further success

You will have huge influence and autonomy to help guide the business through its next stage of growth and to scale the organisation in line with their revenue objectives. You’ll also manage a team of professionals in addition to having five direct reports. There’s significant scope for the CRO to play a huge part in the growth aspirations of the company as well as owning and defining strategies for this.


The requirements

  • You will possess a bachelor’s degree in Business, Software or Engineering in addition to:
  • 10 years’+ of true senior sales leadership experience (at VP level) and able to demonstrate a successful track record of leading and executing successful revenue generation strategies
  • Experience of working for global software vendors who ideally operate in the industrial software markets
  • A leader who can influence business critical decisions surrounding revenue generation with a track record of driving strategy and transformation
  • Someone who is a keen learner and can evidence further professional development in addition to being hugely polished in terms of their professionalism and approach to work
  • You will possess a “challenger” mindset and will test the business on their current strategies and outlook on the market as well as being a strong and efficient communicator
  • Experience in a global role and matrix organisation is also highly desired
