FMC Smart Industry are delighted to be working with a cloud-based software provider for the AEC industry. Their software benefits both smaller and larger construction projects and is flexible to meet specific requirements of their customers across the AEC space. A fast-growing, venture capital backed company, they are consistently growing both their teams and their technologies.

They are currently looking for a Country VP Sales for UAE to grow the sales function in the region from the ground up. This role will focus on managing the sales team for the UAE and leading on sales process for large infrastructure projects. They are looking for someone with a proven track record in the AEC space who ideally has sales leadership experience.

The role

The core focus for the Country VP Sales will be developing and closing new business in the UAE. You’ll design and implement business strategy and plans to drive sales of our client’s cloud-based software and will manage the sales team across the region.

You’ll regularly meet with clients by attending pre-sales meetings, identifying client requirements and booking demonstrations of the software. This will allow you to advise customers on technical matters and make recommendations on software applications.

You will be required to liaise regularly with other stakeholders within the business, particularly the engineering and software teams, to ensure each customer receives the right software solution for them.

The requirements

The ideal candidate will be located in UAE and will have 5 – 10 years’ experience in the AEC industry, as well as:

  • Engineering/Construction degree or equivalent experience ideal but not essential
  • Strong sales track record
  • Experience in a sales management or sales leadership role
  • Able to develop commercial strategies and plans whilst being a driven, hands-on leader
  • A technical understanding of construction projects, CDEs and AEC technologies
  • A strong communicator who can interact with a wide range of stakeholders, from senior clients to software developers
  • Able to manage the whole sales and leads process, from lead generation to closing sales
  • Excellent presentation skills, someone who can present concepts and software clearly to clients
