Surgical robotics is one of the fastest growing sectors of the medical devices space. One of the most exciting companies in the market is looking for a Commercial Executive to join their team based in Germany. The company

Our client is a disruptive player in the rapidly growing surgical robotics space. They produce state-of-the art robotics for the minimally invasive surgery space. With a close-knit and family-orientated culture in the business they’re passionate about finding people that will fit in with their mission to make the next generation of surgical robot. Their robot will improve patient care and have a huge impact on the healthcare market, from surgeons to patients alike.

The role

As a Commercial Executive you’ll be part of the sales team in Germany who are responsible for driving commercial excellence and meeting sales targets. You’ll be selling to various stakeholders and healthcare providers within hospitals and other clinical environments. What you’ll be selling? State-of-the-art surgical robotics systems.


Responsibilities include:

  • Achieving commercial targets in line with the company business plan
  • Selling surgical robotics systems into clinical environments
  • Working as part of a close-knit commercial team
  • Operating in the company’s unique sales approach
  • Creating and developing sales opportunities
  • Forming and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Working in Operating Room environments to support the sale of the robotics systems
  • Improving customer satisfactions


The requirements

You’ll have commercial or sales experience in the medical devices space ideally, but other industry experience is also acceptable. You don’t need to have worked in the robotics space previously, but an awareness of robotic surgery and what it involves is important. You’ll be learning a lot about the space in the day-to-day role, so you’ll need to be able to understand complicated concepts quickly


  • Sales experience (ideally in medical devices but not essential)
  • Exposure to capital devices
  • Understanding of minimally invasive surgery and laparoscopy
  • Fluent in German (native speaker equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of written and verbal English
  • A self-starter who is curious and eager
  • Comfortable in an operating room environment
  • Able to work autonomously and diligently
  • Keen to develop personally and professionally
  • Strong team-working ability
  • Excellent MS Office suite skills
