Surgical robotics is one of the fastest growing sectors in the medical devices space and is taking the market by storm! One of the UK’s most exciting, award-winning surgical robotics companies is looking for a Commercial Leader for the DACH region to join their team and lead the commercial team as the install base in the region grows.

The company

Our client is a disruptive player in the rapidly growing surgical robotics space. They produce state-of-the art robotics for the minimally invasive surgery space that are set to change the face of surgery forever. They have a close-knit and family-orientated culture in the business so they’re passionate about finding people that will fit in with their mission to make the next generation of surgical robot. Their robot will improve patient care and have a huge impact on the healthcare market, from surgeons to patients alike.

The role
 

As a Commercial Leader – DACH you’ll lead a commercial team that ensure customers have the best possible experience with our client’s surgical robotics system. You’ll be responsible for the identifying talent, mentoring and coaching your team and making sure every customer receives the vert best in customer experience as the install base for the robotics system grows.

 

Responsibilities include:
 

  • Managing sales and implementation teams across the DACH region
  • Identifying and hiring future team members
  • Mentoring and coaching members of the commercial team
  • Representing the company at conferences and exhibitions
  • Coordinating sales and implementation processes
  • Driving excellent customer service
  • Acting as a brand ambassador for the company
  • Promoting the surgical robotics system

 

The requirements
 

You will have a track record in a team leadership role and experience in the medical industry, as well as…

  • At least one years’ experience managing a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science or medical discipline
  • Fluent in German and excellent knowledge of English
  • Commercial acumen and familiarity with a business environment
  • Experience with the implementation of capital equipment into healthcare environments
  • Committed to driving excellent customer experience
  • Knowledge of operating room protocol
  • Experience with MIS or robotic surgery desirable but not essential
  • Experience negotiating with hospital and C-suite stakeholders
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Experience with customer and peer training, particularly related to technologies in a clinical environment
  • Strong track record of working cross-functionally
  • Highly organised and able to coordinate a number of activities
  • Able to travel nationally (Germany) with occasional international travel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
