The company 

Our client is a disruptive player in the rapidly growing surgical robotics space. They produce state-of-the art robotics for the minimally invasive surgery space that are set to change the face of surgery forever. They have a close-knit and family-orientated culture in the business so they’re passionate about finding people that will fit in with their mission to make the next generation of surgical robot. Their robot will improve patient care and have a huge impact on the healthcare market, from surgeons to patients alike.

The role 

As Clinical Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering system training sessions to surgical teams, ensuring the competent setup and operation of the product portfolio, as well as providing product knowledge support. You will establish an internal training programme for the training and education of new employees and liaise with fellow trainers in the co-ordination and success of ‘hands-on’ courses.   

Responsibilities include: 

  • Delivering both customer training and internal system training programmes 

  • Supporting the development of training materials and content 

  • Supporting the safe and effective adoption of robotic assisted minimal access surgery 

  • Leading product demonstrations on all products and offering product support 

  • Understanding new and existing technology platforms  

  • Engaging multiple stakeholders and reinforce key learning concepts 

  • Understanding market, competitor, and health care compliance knowledge 

  • Identifying the need for further training  


The requirements 

You’ll have strong relevant experience working either as an industry representative or healthcare professional in an operating room environment, as well as…

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject  

  • Knowledge of healthcare industry and trends 

  • History of being involved in education training and programs  

  • Appreciation of best clinical practice and the challenges of working in surgery 

  • Knowledge of surgical terminology, common surgical procedures, ideally minimally invasive procedures 

  • Able to build relationships with key customers and opinion leaders 

  • Strong ability to present complex technical material in clear, simple terms 

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) 

  • Strong computer literacy skills (including MS Office)  

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as being self-motivated to work independently  

This is a field-based role, so you could be based anywhere in the UK with a driving license and access to a car.
