Our client are a global leading medical device and technologies company who manufacture market innovative medical products focused on therapies for the management of chronic conditions. They work across four markets – advanced chronic and acute wound care, ostomy care, continence and critical care and infusion devices used in the treatment of diabetes and other conditions.

The role

Due to the way COVID has changed the way we all work – our client is now looking to strengthen their clinical team to ensure they are able to continue providing a high level of product support, product training, product development and evaluation on a remote basis.

As a clinical specialist you will be responsible for bridging the gap of key opinion leaders in clinical environments with commercially astute professionals developing a portfolio to not only meet patient requirements but to enhance commercial appeal. Working from home, you will liaise across multiple functions writing final reports on varying case studies.

This role is key to supporting New Product Development – activities surrounding this might include the development of clinical evaluation plans (clinical strategy) and clinical evaluation reports including any investigations that might need to happen pre and post product launch.

This is a great opportunity to utilise your clinical expertise in a role that supports innovative products and will contribute to new products being launched.


The requirements

The successful candidate will be a qualified Nurse, or have a Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Allied Health, Pharmacy with medical experience. Alongside this;

  • An understanding of the clinical trial process – the role may be required to support clinical trial activities
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with clinical Investigators and key opinion leaders.
  • Confidence in presenting themselves via online mediums (for example Microsoft Teams)
  • Ability to work autonomously and keep motivated in a ‘working from home’ setting
  • Experience of presenting on clinical topics
  • Highly motivated character with a drive to contribute to R&D
