An exciting opportunity for the position of Clinical Specialist within our client’s MDS division has arisen across the South West and Wales. MDS transforms medication preparation and administration to enhance patient and clinical outcomes.

The role 

As a Clinical Specialist for MDS, you will support the sales team in developing sales opportunities and achieving territory budget targets. You will develop your knowledge in all aspects of vascular access, IV therapy and infection prevention and take responsibility for the support, training, and education of this clinical expertise.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Providing in depth scientific and technical support to customers and internal teams 

  • Keeping up to date with clinical practice, guidelines, and clinical research 

  • Delivering internal clinical training and education 

  • Coordinating local education events and initiatives 

  • Troubleshooting and answering clinical queries 

  • Handling product complaints which require investigation  


The requirements 

Vascular Access, IV Therapy and infection prevention experience is an absolute must, as well as…  

  • NMC Registered Nurse / Midwife 

  • Possess a recognised teaching qualification, ENB 998 or equivalent experience 

  • Clinical cannulation experience 

  • Strong track record of clinical success in the private medical or NHS environment 

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) 

  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills 

  • Dynamic and results orientated  

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage interactions stakeholders  

  • Flexible and willing to travel extensively across your dedicated territory (some requirements to stay overnight as required)  

This role is contracted for 12 months.
