Our client is currently seeking a passionate Clinical Sales Associate to join their team across the West Midlands and sell an exciting portfolio of surgical products within the spinal market. This role is open to graduates or clinical individuals as an entry-level role.

With a fantastic reputation in the orthopaedics and spinal markets, their goal is to improve the quality of life for patients with spinal and musculoskeletal disorders. By working closely with surgeons and other clinical experts, their products are specifically designed to meet their needs and provide the very best in patient outcomes. Recently they have made huge advances in the surgical robotics field, and now boast a robotic navigation platform that is designed to improve efficiencies and patient safety in spinal surgeries. 

The role 

As a Clinical Sales Associate, you will focus on winning new business with hospitals, clinics, and physicians across your defined sales area. Under the guidance of the Regional Sales Manager, you’ll execute a clear and robust sales approach that will effectively market our client’s spinal portfolio. You will supervise day-to-day operations in a range of clinical settings and provide excellent customer consultation and support. 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Establishing and developing relationships with key clinical customers 

  • Analysing the market to identify growth opportunities 

  • Building specialised knowledge of the product portfolio and latest clinical developments 

  • Covering surgical cases to provide the highest degree of value to surgeons and patients 

  • Managing resources within the sales area and hitting sales targets 

  • Ensuring clinical operations are maximised 

  • Producing regular reports and forecasts outlining both current and proposed activities 

 

The requirements 

You’ll have clinical experience within the spinal or orthopaedic field, as well as: 

  • Degree Educated in a relevant discipline

  • Successful personal track record 

  • Comfortable in a theatre environment  

  • High level of business awareness and commercial acumen 

  • Able to develop influential relationships with physicians and key decision-makers 

  • An understanding of healthcare/anatomy 

  • Strong computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office Suite) 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills  

  • Strong use of initiative  

  • Keen to develop both professionally and personally 

  • Problem solver with a drive to succeed  

  • Flexible and willing to travel across various geographical regions
