A key market player in the spinal and orthopaedic space is currently looking for a Clinical Application Specialist to join their team in Germany and provide the very best in customer service for the installation of their newest product portfolio.

With a fantastic reputation in the orthopaedics and spinal markets, their goal is to improve the quality of life for patients with spinal and musculoskeletal disorders. By working closely with surgeons and other clinical experts, their products are specifically designed to meet their needs and provide the very best in patient outcomes.

Recently they have made huge advances in the surgical robotics field, and now boast a robotic navigation platform that is designed to improve efficiencies and patient safety in spinal surgeries. They are truly at the forefront of technological development!


The role

As a Clinical Specialist you’ll be part of the team in Germany who are responsible for integrating the imaging, navigation and surgical robotics portfolio into hospitals and other clinical environments. You’ll be integral to supporting the sales team by building relationships with stakeholders and providing clinical training to operating room staff who will be using the products on a day-to-day basis. Providing installation support, you’ll work closely with clinical teams to guide them on how to maximise what they get out of their robotics system. This is a hands on role which allows you to work closely with the portfolio of products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building relationships with operating room teams and clinical stakeholders
  • Providing regular service reviews with customers
  • Supporting the implementation of the products into hospital environments
  • Supporting sales teams by providing clinical training
  • Planning and coordinating customer visits
  • Representing the wider business at events and exhibitions
  • Providing the very best in customer service



The requirements

You’ll be based in Germany and have experience in operating room environments or educating hospital staff, as well as…


  • Life science degree-educated (or equivalent medical/clinical experience)
  • Experience of the spinal or orthopaedics markets
  • Strong education development/training skills
  • Passionate about technology
  • Clinical/medical device/engineering background with excellent clinical knowledge
  • Comfortable with Operating Room environments
  • Committed to providing top quality training to customers
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Autonomous and driven
  • Excellent at relationship building and maintaining (particularly within a clinical environment)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to travel across Germany
  • Fluent in German and excellent knowledge of English (written and verbal)
