FMC are working in partnership with a global medical technology business that are a strong leader in the provision of ophthalmic surgical and diagnostic systems. We are looking to speak with individuals that have experience of medical photography – specifically ophthalmic imaging across various types of equipment.

This is a great opportunity to use your clinical expertise in a training and applications support capacity, both internally and externally. Our client has a leading training academy which this candidate will contribute to. This will include: producing training/clinical documentation, presenting, workshops and CET based events.

External customers typically sit in private or NHS ophthalmic clinics or in optometrists/optician environments who have a need to take images of patient’s eye for diagnosis.

The support you will provide will include everything from basic product training through to advanced image interpretation support.

The requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a demonstrable background of working within a clinical capacity whereby screening patients for eye conditions has formed part of your role. This opportunity offers the opportunity for someone to transition their clinical experience into a corporate and commercial environment.

  • Must have either existing experience of, or high potential to, develop commercial relationships across all levels of staff within a NHS or Private Hospital environments
  • Ability to teach and share information engagingly to different target audiences
  • Experience of working in a clinical environment which could be optical retail, NHS or private hospitals
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts
  • Technically minded with the ability to absorb information and translate this into engaging training materials
  • Open to UK wide travel if required
