Our client is seeking a high-energy and ambitious individual to lead the efforts in managing the account of one of the world’s largest telecom companies and ensure a long-lasting and mutually beneficial partnership. Excellent complex and strategic selling skills are essential since the primary target is large enterprise-size companies.

Ultimately, we have a unique and well-rewarded opportunity for somebody to greatly expand a major customer account. We are estimating a +300% growth over the next few years.

Their platform allows network operators to create and gather data from a single and accurate source, aiding businesses in meeting their digital transformation goals and KPIs.

Our client consists of experienced software, telecoms, and utility professionals who have leveraged their expertise with their rapidly expanding customer base of over 50,000 globally to provide unparalleled geospatial solutions. For their size, there really is no competitor in the market, which means their already impressive growth is all but guaranteed for the coming years.

The role

Internally referred to as a Customer Relationship Director, you will devise a strategy and directly sell our client’s enterprise solutions to all departments within one major account situated across 20+ states in the US. You will confidently explore, nurture, and broaden potential opportunities and relationships within your assigned client domain, with the ultimate goal of securing long-term revenue streams and expansion. You will act in an advisory capacity, helping the customers within the major account to extract value in an existing embedded solution.  

Other responsibilities include:

  • Nurture early customer engagements 

  • Be the point of contact for the customer  

  • Create and execute account plans and strategies to close new business 

  • Present comprehensive business solutions  

  • Present the customer returns on investment  

  • Negotiate terms at senior levels of the customer’s organisation  


The requirements

You’ll have outstanding knowledge of the technical and business sides of fibre networks, as well as:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field

  • Proven track record in selling enterprise software into the North American telecom market 

  • 5+ years of experience closing enterprise Software, SaaS or PaaS deals 

  • Direct experience with and established executive-level relationships are key tier 1 & 2 telecom companies 

  • Experience and knowledge of planning and engineering, field operations, and construction in a telecom context 

  • Comfortable addressing business and technical stakeholders up and down the organisation 

  • Strategic sales skills to manage large complex and global accounts 

  • Strong analytical, time management and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to keep up, be present and show up  

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills (written and verbal)

  • Flexible and willing to travel domestically (>50%) and some international travel

  • Ideally located in Dallas, Texas
