The role 

As a Business Solution Architect at FSM, you’ll play a key role in winning new, sustainable businesses. You will identify and manage key business relationships with prospects and customers, providing solutions that will achieve customer expectations. You’ll also be responsible for innovating and applying new demonstration approaches and techniques to propel the sales process. 

Other responsibilities include: 

• Conducting prospect surveys to identify key business issues 

• Identifying solutions for prospect business pains 

• Selling complex software into new and existing accounts 

• Improving customer satisfaction  

• Preparing and presenting  ‘Proof of Value’ solution demonstrations 

• Creating industry-specific tool kits demo data, videos and whitepapers 

• Maintaining level expertise regarding new functional and technological products 

• Collaborating with Regional Account Managers, Major Account Managers and other consultants to achieve business objectives 

• Providing regular status reports, sales win strategies and demonstration assessments 

• Participating in trade shows and other marketing activities 

The requirements 

You’ll have 3+ years of presales experience in an enterprise software environment as well as exposure to the Manufacturing or Energy sectors, with Utilities experience being an advantage, as well as: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience 

• At least 2 years experience selling cloud-based architectures 

• A proven track record of utilizing sales methodology in pre-sales consulting is desirable 

• Demonstrable success achieving and exceeding targets  

• Able to build high-level relationships at all levels 

• High-level knowledge of business and application software  

• Excellent communication, articulation and presentation skills 

• Strong facilitator and negotiator 

• Organised and able to confidently undertake multiple projects 

• Detail-orientated and analytical 

• Able to work collaboratively as part of a team 

• Flexible and willing to travel
