FMC Smart Industry are supporting a leading technology provider who have pioneered software solutions for engineering and manufacturing sectors across the world. Their talented team has predominantly been formed by ex-industry professionals who have the knowledge to solve business critical problems by utilising technology and software to save on time and costs whilst improving operational efficiency. They are undergoing significant organic growth and various company acquisitions to strengthen their market position.

They are currently looking for a Business Operations Manager (EMEA) to join their team.


The role

As Business Operations Manager you will be focused on defining, creating, and leading the Business Operations function for EMEA. Your core focus will be on leading a team that provides the very best in customer experience, making it simple for our client’s customers by driving operational process optimisation. Setting the direction for the team, you’ll ensure they follow efficient and effective processes to deliver operational excellence and customer value. Leadership is key in this role as you will be managing a team of 10 people.

The requirements

  • Experience leading and delivering large change programmes at a strategic or operational level
  • Strong, effective leadership and management skills
  • Excellent process management capability and leadership skills
  • Able to lead regional teams within a matrix structure and through change
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • A high level of process management capability
  • Effective at transforming data into intelligence to enable decision making
  • Experience working in a commercial focused role in a technological environment
  • Able to think and act strategically and tactically
  • Strong relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Customer focused with the ability to drive operational excellence and customer value
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills (both written and verbal)
  • Resilient and resourceful
  • Ability to travel across Europe as required (when permitted)
