Our client, a leading provider of software and data solutions in the simulation space, is looking for a Business Development Representative to join their team.

The role

As a Business Development Representative you’ll be at the forefront of the sales team and play a critical role in establishing a network of relationships with clients, opening up new sales opportunities for the company and accelerating revenue growth. You’ll create leads by identifying key contacts, pursuing prospects through social selling and cold calling, generating leads and nurturing customer relationships to build credibility and trust.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Qualifying leads to build the sales pipeline
  • Prospecting and developing existing accounts
  • Using Salesforce to support opportunity pipeline management
  • Driving positive customer experience by providing excellent customer service
  • Hitting and exceeding sales quota
  • Providing accurate forecasting and reporting
  • Maintaining a high knowledge of the company’s solutions and services
  • Researching market developments

 

The requirements

You’ll have 2+ years’ experience in an Inside Sales role with experience in social selling and cold calling, as well as:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline is desirable
  • Experience within the Computer Software, Mechanical Design and Engineering industries
  • Able to present to and influence stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and listening skills
  • Strong computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Outstanding strategic skills and attention to detail
  • Able to thrive in a high pressure environment
  • Fast-learner who able to swiftly take on new products and messaging
  • Organised and able to confidently undertake multiple projects
  • Keen to develop both professionally and personally
