Are you an outgoing individual with an aptitude for creating influential relationships? Our client is looking for an engaging Business Development Representative to join their team.

The role 

As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be at the forefront of the sales team and play a critical role in establishing a network of relationships with clients, opening up new sales opportunities for the company and accelerating revenue growth. You’ll create leads by identifying key contacts, pursuing prospects through social selling and cold calling, and nurturing customer relationships to build credibility and trust. 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Building a territory plan 

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities 

  • Prospecting and developing existing accounts 

  • Using Salesforce to support opportunity pipeline management 

  • Driving positive customer experience by providing excellent customer service 

  • Preparing and executing plans that prioritize customer needs 

  • Hitting and exceeding sales quota 

  • Providing accurate forecasting and reporting 

  • Maintaining a high knowledge of the company’s solutions and services 

 

The requirements 

You’ll have 2+ years of experience in an Inside Sales role with experience in social selling and cold calling, as well as: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline is desirable 

  • Experience in leadership development focused on enterprise selling, preferably in the HR software or services industry 

  • Demonstrated success in penetrating the C-suite  

  • Outstanding networker and able to present to and influence stakeholders  

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and listening skills 

  • Able to thrive in a high-pressure environment 

  • Fast learner who can swiftly take on new products and messaging 

  • Organised and able to confidently undertake multiple projects 

  • Keen to develop both professionally and personally
