Do you have a strong track record in business development and securing new clients? Do you have experience of selling insight, intelligence or information? Our client, and a global provider of business intelligence is currently looking for a new business hunter to join their team in London.

The role

As Business Development Manager you’ll help to grow our client’s customer base across EMEA. Your core focus will be identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across our client’s target markets, as well as developing a strategic and ambitious sales plan for your territory.

This is the perfect role for someone with an impressive track record in a sales role who is confident with a consultative sell. You’ll be working with an exciting portfolio of financial and political solutions and selling these to companies and partners in the government sector.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities
  • Identifying target markets and clients
  • Developing a strong sales pipeline
  • Generating new business leads
  • Executing a new client acquisition plan for your territory
  • Managing the sales cycle from prospecting to closing
  • Reporting regularly on sales data, pipeline and forecasting


The requirements

You’ll have a strong track record in a sales role with a particular focus on new business development and client acquisition. Other requirements include:

  • Degree level educated in a relevant subject
  • Experience with lead generation
  • Strong track record in a sales and business development role
  • Demonstrable track record of high performance in a sales role
  • Experience in the information services space
  • Able to sell consultatively
  • Understanding of B2B sales
  • A new business hunter
  • Experience managing large deal sizes
  • Experience selling and knowledge of information services
  • Able to communicate value proposition
  • Track record of selling into governmental sectors
  • Driven and energetic
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels (including C-Level)
  • Able to travel (when permitted)
