Are you an energetic self-starter looking to take your career in Healthcare sales to a new level? Our client is currently experiencing significant growth and is now looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join their team and support this continued growth within the Hip market.  

The company 

With over 50 years of experience, our client is world-renowned for its portfolio of implant and instrumentation products. They develop, produce, and distribute a dynamic range of solutions, from joint reconstruction devices to hip and shoulder replacements. They pride themselves in working with world-class professionals within the industry who are committed to putting the patient at the heart of everything they do. 

The role 

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll execute a robust and strategic business plan for a set of key accounts that will accelerate revenue growth and enable customer acquisition. You’ll utilise your strong interpersonal skills to develop key clinical and non-clinical stakeholder relationships, providing technical support and excellent customer service. 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Analysing the market to identify growth opportunities 

  • Growing the customer base and market presence in line with targets 

  • Learning technical and methodological requirements of the product portfolio  

  • Planning  targeted  field  visits  to increase visibility to  both  internal  sales  teams  and external key external stakeholders 

  • Hitting and exceeding sales targets 

  • Utilising Salesforce to maintain a quality customer relationship management system 

  • Maintaining high-level knowledge of developments in the orthopaedic sector 


The requirements 

You’ll have 3+ years of sales success within the Medical Devices sector, as well as: 

  • Degree Educated in a relevant discipline 

  • High level of business intelligence and commercial acumen 

  • Orthopaedic experience is desirable  

  • Excellent customer-facing skills and able to maintain a strong personal impression 

  • Strong communication, articulation and presentation skills 

  • High IT proficiency (including Microsoft Suite) 

  • Innovative and able to resolve challenges 

  • Keen to develop personally and professionally 

  • Full UK driving license and willing to travel across the territory
