Do you want to work for a company that is leading the global energy transition? Our client is looking for an energetic Business Development Manager to join their sales team in the UK.

Together with their specialist engineering consultancy, their innovations enable customers to reliably increase sustainable energy production without risking efficiency or raising costs. The role 

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll identify, create, and manage key business relationships with senior management and executives across the UK and Nordics. You will play a critical role in translating customer feedback into product development processes. 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities 

  • Prospecting and developing existing accounts 

  • Forming and maintaining relationships with a variety of stakeholders 

  • Preparing and executing plans that prioritize customer needs 

  • Hitting and exceeding sales quota 

  • Providing accurate forecasting and reporting 

  • Maintaining strong knowledge of the company’s solutions and services 

  • Working closely with the marketing team to develop market engagement strategies 


The requirements 

You’ll have experience in developing new business in the renewables sector with a proven track record of success in B2B selling, as well as: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is desirable 

  • An understanding of electrical and mechanical systems 

  • Strong knowledge of CRM applications (including Salesforce) 

  • Experience in managing key accounts and customer relationships, including C-suite 

  • Outstanding networker and able to present to and influence stakeholders  

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills 

  • Highly organised and able to prioritise effectively 

  • Awareness and experience of business operations and business strategy  

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a positive and problem-solving attitude 

  • Flexible and willing to travel internationally (when permitted)
