Do you have 2+ years of spine experience? Our client focus on a niche area of the market looking at endoscopic spinal surgery. As such, they are seeking a Business Development Manager based across North London (or along the M4) to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing orthopaedic player with a unique product being taken to the UK market.  

The company

Our client is revolutionising endoscopic spinal surgery technologies across Europe and they’re now looking to break into the UK market. Its goal is to further expand and strengthen its position as a market leader in minimal access technologies worldwide. Their products aim to put their patients first, prioritising the safest and most cost-effective procedures with a high uptake from surgeons.  

The role

Within this role, you will build and utilise your network of contacts to promote and sell new products and areas within spinal surgery. Given the nature of their new devices, this will be a challenging yet extremely rewarding role where you will be given autonomy and work based on your own initiative, whilst being supported by the UK Sales Manager. You will work across a longer sales cycle and be responsible for increasing and developing the sales of our client’s product portfolio within the South of the UK.  

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Analysing the market to identify growth opportunities 

  • Driving revenue growth in new markets 

  • Prospecting new opportunities whilst developing existing ones 

  • Hitting and exceeding sales targets 

  • Providing accurate sales forecasts and reporting 

  • Growing the customer base and market presence  

  • Reporting to the Sales Manager  

 

The requirements

You will have 1-2+ years of spinal experience, as well as:

  • Strong industry knowledge and experience working within the market 

  • Out-going with a hunter mindset 

  • Driven and be able to hit the ground running 

  • A good relationship builder with stakeholders of all levels 

  • Competitive team player

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment

  • Strong computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office) 

  • An enthusiastic and can-do attitude, with a drive to succeed
