Job description

Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team in Denmark. This is an exciting time to join them as they seek to disrupt the way minimally invasive surgery is performed around the world. 

The company 

Our client is a disruptive player in the rapidly growing surgical robotics space. They produce state-of-the art robotics for the minimally invasive surgery space that are set to change the face of surgery forever. They have a close-knit and family-orientated culture in the business so they’re passionate about finding people that will fit in with their mission to make the next generation of surgical robot. Their robot will improve patient care and have a huge impact on the healthcare market, from surgeons to patients alike.  

The role 

As a Business Development Manager, you will become part of a multi-skilled team that will drive sales and meet challenging sales targets in a disruptive new business model.  

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Selling to health care providers and within healthcare structures and frameworks 

  • Uncovering and creating new commercial opportunities 

  • Changing the model of how robotic systems are sold within the healthcare system 

  • Creating long term relationships with stakeholders  

  • Working within the Operating Room environment to support the systems 

  • Ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction ratings 

The requirements 

You’ll have a strong understanding of both laparoscopic and open surgery, as well as…  

  • Degree educated in Life Science or equivalent clinical/medical experience 

  • Comfortable in an operating room environment 

  • Strong commercial experience in medical devices 

  • Highly curious, outgoing, and self-disciplined 

  • Able to understand complex concepts quickly 

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) 

  • Strong computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office) 

  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently 

  • Fluent in Danish and English (native speaker equivalent)  

  • Based in Denmark and willing to travel internationally  

  • Flexible in work hours, weekends and open to being called to action at short notice
