Do you have extensive new business experience within a consultative field-based sales role? Do you want to deliver against new business sales targets? Our client is currently looking for a new business hunter to join their team in the UK.

The role 

As Business Development Manager your core focus will be identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across our client’s target markets, as well as developing a strategic and ambitious sales plan for your territory. You’ll help to grow our client’s network and corporate partnership base across the UK.  

This is the perfect role for someone with an impressive track record in a sales role who is confident with a consultative sell. You will be driving forward the company’s vision, looking to develop strong pipelines and identify new business opportunities. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities 

  • Identifying target markets and clients 

  • A background in closing large deal sizes and driving sales growth 

  • Demonstrable success achieving and exceeding targets  

  • High level of business intelligence and commercial acumen 

  • Generating new business leads 

  • Managing the sales cycle from prospecting to closing 


The requirements 

You’ll have extensive new business experience within a consultative field-based sales role. Other requirements include: 

  • Proven track record of negotiating deals in a corporate environment 

  • Developed influencing and relationship management skills 

  • New business hunter with a drive to open new relationships and expanding existing where appropriate

  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as being self-motivated to work independently  

  • Experience with SaaS, Health & Safety, Procurement and Supply Chain is desirable  

  • Excellent communicator with an ability to sell consultatively and develop long-term partnerships. 

  • Strong emotional intelligence 

  • Be comfortable with long sales cycles and capable of managing the process throughout to ensure successful delivery

  • Flexible and willing to travel throughout the UK when appropriate and able
