Do you have experience in software sales and are looking for the next step in your career? Our client is looking for a talented Business Development Manager to join their team.

The company 

Our client is harnessing AI technology to transform document processing and data extraction. By offering consulting and support in building individual data strategies, they empower their customers to implement their own tailored AI solutions into existing software, enabling seamless automation of tasks. Their solutions are making waves across the finance, manufacturing and oil and gas spaces, and following a successful series funding they are in the position to pave the future of intelligent document processing. 

The role 

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll focus on building a network of relationships with clients in order to open up new sales opportunities for our client and expand their customer base. You’ll work as a consultant to build trust and credibility with customers, analysing their business requirements and providing tailored presentations that satisfy their expectations. 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Building, managing and maintaining the sales pipeline 

  • Generating leads through cold calls and virtual channels 

  • Analysing the market to identify growth opportunities  

  • Ensuring rapid responses to sales requests 

  • Forming and maintaining relationships with a variety of stakeholders 

  • Driving positive customer experience by providing excellent customer service 

  • Hitting and exceeding sales quota 

  • Providing accurate forecasting and reporting 

  • Maintaining a high knowledge of the company’s solutions and services 

The requirements 

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of software sales experience. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with an aptitude for developing successful relationships, is crucial to this role. Other requirements include: 

  • Degree educated in a relevant technical discipline 

  • Knowledge of LinkedIn and tools such as Sales Navigator 

  • Awareness and experience of business operations and business strategy  

  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently 

  • Highly organised and able to prioritise effectively 

  • Analytical and a strategic thinker 

  • New business hunter with a drive to open new relationships 

  • Able to work remotely
