Do you have experience in business development in the healthcare space? Do you want to work for a key market player in infection control and prevention? Our client is currently looking for a Business Development Executive to join their team in Devon and identify and pursue new business opportunities. 

The company 

Our client is a key market player who specialise in both infection prevention and control, with the aim of safeguarding patients and clinical staff on the front line. Developing innovative products to keep people safe, our client continues to evolve and adapt, placing them firmly at the forefront of infection control systems. 

Our client has a large network in the UK and beyond with their products being used in clinical facilities in countries around the world. They pride themselves on being dedicated to excellence and the very best in customer service and support. 

The role 

As Business Development Executive, you’ll provide support to the internal and external sales team through business development of new and existing account leads. You will work closely with the sales team to pursue existing quotations, discussing new products, arranging appointments, and generating interest in other services.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Demonstrating features and benefits of our clients’ product portfolio 

  • Seeking to gain sales leads, appointments and follow ups  

  • Validating existing accounts into the CRM system 

  • Phoning stakeholders to understand and establish business opportunities   

  • Supporting Account Manager with ad hoc projects to support the sales process and identify sales opportunities 

  • Periodically review data to spot opportunities for Account Managers  

  • Analysing data and providing an update on any resulting themes within the data  

  • Providing excellent customer service 

 

The requirements 

You’ll have worked in a highly organised environment with strong administrative experience. Other requirements include: 

  • Prior experience in high volume calls, lead generation and exceeding KPIS  

  • Telephone or telephone research background is essential 

  • Experience in a sales team with high call volume expectations 

  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills  

  • Enthusiastic, dependable, and focused 

  • Able to achieve high customer satisfaction 

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask  

  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team  

  • Excellent computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office)  

 

This role would suit someone looking for progression into an account manager or sales role within the medical devices sector.
