Do you have a strong track record in B2B sales? Are you skilled in growing revenue in large accounts? Our client is currently looking for a determined and resilient Business Development Director to join their team in the US with the aim of getting to know clients’ needs and providing them with the solutions they need with the ultimate aim of growing revenue for the business.

Our client is a global engagement agency that designs and delivers solutions to engage employees, channel partners and customers. They offer a range of solutions including sales incentives, customer engagement marketing, employee recognition and reward programmes and event solutions. They help companies make their strategic aims into actionable, tangible processes – with measurable results being the ultimate goal!

 

The role

As a Business Development Director, you will focus on growing the sales pipeline of our client’s product and service portfolio. You will collaborate with colleagues to create proposals that exceed client expectations and win new business as well as growing new business from existing clients. Relationships are at the heart of this role, as you’ll really get to know client needs and their business-critical strategies to help execute the perfect solution for them.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Achieving and exceeding personal sales targets
  • Actively prospecting, cold calling, following up leads, identifying and qualifying opportunities and closing the sales
  • Building and maintaining a multi-year pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Following up on allocated leads from centralised Marketing activity
  • Using the CRM system for the recording of all prospects and clients
  • Contributing to both sales and business planning

 

The requirements

You’ll have at least 10 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally to Fortune 1000 companies, as well as:

  • Located in New Jersey, Boston, Philadelphia or Dallas
  • Proven track record of new business development
  • Experience in prospecting and cold calling
  • Experience selling marketing solutions or professional services
  • Able to grow revenue in large accounts
  • Experience with high value, low volume sales
  • Experience with a wide range of sales cycles
  • Inspiring direct and indirect leadership style
  • Understanding of digital marketplace preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Able to thrive under pressure
  • Proficient computer literacy skills (CRM, MS Office)
  • Mobile applications and SaaS experience preferred
